At Urbint, our mission is to build a world with zero safety incidents. We are passionate about taking data about our changing world from climate, to urbanization, to infrastructure risk—and harnessing it to empower utilities and infrastructure operators to predict and prevent threats and meaningfully reduce risk. We are a tight-knit team working together to create and deliver cutting-edge technology to deliver insights that keep people safe.

Job Summary

Urbint is looking for a passionate, motivated Marketing Specialist to join the team and support Urbint’s growth across marketing functions. As a Marketing Specialist, you will be a jack of all trades, contributing across event marketing, content marketing, product marketing, communications, and more. We’re looking for a smart, multitalented marketer who can contribute both strategically and tactically with effective execution.

What you’ll do

  • Build a deep understanding of our customers and their needs.
  • Events: Your primary focus in the beginning will be on event marketing. Events and conferences are highly impactful for Urbint, and we need the person in this role to hit the ground running and help us plan and execute a successful event calendar. This will entail:
    • Planning and managing logistics and budgeting for industry conferences.
    • Partnering with event organizers.
    • Securing and supporting speaking opportunities at conferences.
    • Liaising with agencies for booth and swag needs.
    • Partnering closely with Sales to prepare for events, including account outreach planning.
    • Travel 30-40% to make our events a success.
  • You will also provide support on other marketing initiatives, with the potential to grow your role in these areas over time. These include:
    • Content: Maintain an editorial calendar that positions Urbint as a thought leader in our industry. This includes maintaining our blog, updating our website, customer case studies, managing social media, and producing larger content pieces with the help of freelancers as needed.
    • Product Marketing: Make sure we have the right product marketing materials to enable our sales efforts. Produce new product one pagers, slides, and other material as needed. Keep existing materials current. Occasional research.
    • Comms/PR: Press releases and media relations for major news. Maintaining press relationships. Engaging PR consultants/firms as needed. Drafting remarks and prepping speakers for speaking engagements.
    • Internal comms: Preparing content for and leading weekly All Hands meeting.
    • Composing and running email campaigns.
    • Partner with the People team to continuously improve the employer brand
  • This is a role with significant executive exposure; you’ll work closely with our CEO, CCO, VP Sales, and others.

Who you are

  • A growing marketing professional with 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably at a software company, ideally across multiple marketing disciplines including event marketing.
  • Focused: we are a small team with many competing priorities. To be effective in this role you need to be able to isolate where you can have the greatest impact and rigorously prioritize.
  • A self-starter with the ability to be highly effective with minimal direction and supervision
  • A results-oriented marketer who can show the impact their efforts have in relation to larger team and company goals
  • An avid learner who is curious to read up on new industries and meet new people. A genuine interest in the utility industry—worker safety, damage prevention, regulation, methane emission reduction—is strongly recommended.
  • A collaborative, outgoing team player who can work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and People teams, as well as executives.
  • Skills and an interest in creating graphic designs (Figma, Canva) and managing video production is a plus
  • Experience using HubSpot is also a plus.
