The Job
This role, reporting to the Platform Engineering Manager, is crucial for the reliability and performance of Omnidian's production Resolv platform. You will work closely with the Platform team, developers, and product stakeholders to identify issues, improve workflows, and develop infrastructure-as-code solutions with self-service interfaces.
What You'll Do

- Design, develop, and maintain tools and frameworks to improve site reliability and operational efficiency of our production Resolv platform
- Create an observability platform to improve ecosystem awareness, assist in planning, and aid issue diagnosis.
- Develop organizational standards and best practices for container management, and maintain our Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines to automate and standardize provisioning of cloud resources and environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to create shared frameworks and best practices, supporting application development.
- Automate CI/CD workflows and develop self-service interfaces for engineers to streamline software delivery.
- Create comprehensive documentation for developer platforms supporting knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance platform capabilities and developer experiences.

Who You Are
- You enjoy collaborating with and assisting others on technical projects.
- You have good communication and writing skills.
- You are comfortable managing containerized applications on Kubernetes.
- You are proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
- You are comfortable hands-on with cloud providers including designing, scaling, and securing reliable cloud environments.
Experience You’ll Need
- 3–5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a closely related field, with a track record of building and maintaining production systems.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting workloads in production clusters.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, to provision, manage, and standardize cloud resources.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud providers (preferably AWS) including designing, securing, and scaling highly available environments.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system design concepts as they relate to distributed systems and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Experience automating workflows and operational tasks using scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, or Bash).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices to improve deployment speed, reliability, and developer experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams, balancing long-term platform strategy with immediate operational needs.
Experience That's a Plus
- Designing and implementing observability solutions (e.g., metrics, logging, and tracing frameworks) to proactively monitor and diagnose system health.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry.
- Background in software development (Python, Go, or similar) with the ability to contribute to shared libraries and tooling.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, ArgoCD, or Jenkins) and developer productivity tooling.
- Experience with scaling infrastructure in cloud-native, containerized environments, including cost optimization and security hardening.
- Exposure to startups or high-growth environments, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to wear multiple hats.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in DevOps, platform engineering, and site reliability engineering (SRE) principles.
