The Job
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company revolutionizing the solar industry. As the Commercial Performance & Process Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our innovative business model. You will be at the forefront of onboarding, modeling, and QAQC data for newly acquired systems while analyzing the operational health and performance of a growing portfolio of commercial solar assets.
This position is perfect for someone passionate about solar energy, excels in data analysis, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will help identify and resolve performance issues with commercial solar systems, onboard new clients and assets, provide technical support to customers and service technicians, and support sales and product development initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • At Omnidian we believe in trust and autonomy. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you’ll be doing:
  • Asset Management & Onboarding (40%)
  • Work with Lead Performance Engineer to create new asset configuration in Omnidian’s platforms, perform required calculations and connect assets to data sources.
  • Ensure assets’ technical specifications match the on-site condition as per provided As builts documentation and system’s actual energy output.
  • Assist with performing energy simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system using Omnidian proprietary modeling platform, and/ or any related cloud-based or software tool.
  • Performance Analysis (40%)
  • Review asset performance data and identify issues.
  • Support client and site host customer communications.
  • Assist in resolving escalated issues.
  • Responsible for calculation and analysis of the Performance Verification Process (PVP)
  • Continuous Improvement & Team Collaboration (20%)
  • Participate in identifying, documenting, and adopting best practices and standardized operating procedures.
  • Help identify features and improvements for Omnidian’s proprietary platform.

  • You have the ability to remain focused and productive with tasks that may be repetitive.
  • You can stay cool under pressure.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of experience in the commercial solar energy industry, in system design, monitoring, asset management.
  • Experience performing energy simulations in platforms like PVSyst, Helioscope or similar.
  • In depth knowledge reading and interpreting solar system design drawings.
  • Strong understanding of solar technology, monitoring systems, maintenance practices, and solar industry landscape.
  • Experience with Data Acquisition System (DAS) is a must.

Experience That’s a Plus

  • Experience with project management and tools like Asana, Trello, or Jira
