We are headquartered in Seattle, but are open to a remote location depending on role and if a candidate resides within the United States in a state in which we currently employ.
The Job
The Commercial Portfolio Operations Manager will monitor and manage assigned distributed generation solar assets, to ensure optimal performance for their client's solar photovoltaic (PV) asset portfolio, as well as energy storage projects. This role will report to the Manager of Commercial Operations, while also working closely with the entire Commercial Operations Team. The qualified candidate will work independently as the primary point of contact for their assigned clients, will be responsible for all activities from the initial client & asset onboarding, manage and deliver reporting obligations, provide technical support to clients and service technicians, and support sales and product development initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage client relationships and provide professional expertise around preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize production.
  • Oversee a portfolio of 100-150 MW of distributed solar assets, driving efficiency and maximizing output (post -installation and PTO).
  • Provide professional summary and deep explanation, as needed, of monthly asset performance
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting: Utilize your technical prowess to resolve system issues, working closely with equipment, inverter, and DAS technical support.
  • Foster and strengthen relationships with stakeholders from site owners to facilities personnel, cementing Omnidian's reputation for reliability and excellence.
  • Provide service reports to demonstrate not only what we've achieved in the field but also what next steps are required
  • Create and manage tickets for planned and unplanned service activities.
  • Coordinate external field service resources to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime, leaving no room for inefficiencies.
  • Manage RMA processes and replacement of faulty components, including delivery and returns of equipment.
  • Dispatch subcontracted O&M services for both planned maintenance and reactive issues with the agility of a true operations maestro.

Who You Are

  • Exceptional verbal communication skills with previous experience in client success or customer service
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Professionally minded; focusing on quality and quantity of deliverables
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, growth-mode environment
  • Highly organized and capable of driving multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong technical understanding of business operations
  • Fast learner of infrastructure and tools, including CRM, support ticketing, ERP, and business intelligence
  • Ownership mentality of issues or questions and ability to escalate problems to the appropriate persons and follow up accordingly with the client.
  • A passion for learning and a hunger to continually expand your skill set to stay at the cutting edge of the industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Enjoys change and can quickly adapt to the needs of the business and team
  • Ability to stay cool under pressure

Experience You'll Need

  • 1+ years of experience in Commercial operations and maintenance, asset management, field service management or account management.
  • 2+ years of experience in the solar energy industry
  • 3+ years of professional experience with proven professional acumen
  • Proven experience with client success and customer service
  • Experience with solar monitoring DAS platforms and alerts.
  • Experience reading and interpreting solar system design drawings.
  • Understanding of solar technology, monitoring systems, maintenance practices, and solar industry landscape.

Experience That's a Plus

  • 3+ years of solar experience
  • 2+ years of Commercial post installation experience
