Our mission: Safe and sustainable batteries for a clean energy future.

To do this, we need passionate builders and storytellers. At ACCURE, people with diverse backgrounds work together on our common vision of a clean energy future. We value passion and humbleness and are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our fast-growing international team.
Your Role

As Information Security Officer (ISO) at ACCURE, you will take ownership of our information security strategy and drive the processes that keep our data and systems secure as we scale. You will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving our information security management system (ISMS) and ensuring that information security is deeply embedded across the company.

  • Drive our information security roadmap: Take full responsibility of ISO 27001 certification and audits, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement, and explore further certifications to strengthen our overall security framework.

  • Design and enforce security policies: Develop and maintain pragmatic, modern information security processes that enable, not block, our teams.

  • Enable a security-first culture: Train, guide, and inspire colleagues to make security a natural part of their daily work.

  • Collaborate across departments: Work closely with Engineering, IT, HR, and Operations to ensure compliance and resilience across all systems and workflows.

  • Monitor and respond: Oversee incident management and ensure timely resolution, reporting, and lessons learned.

  • Advise leadership: Act as the trusted voice for security and compliance topics to our management team and external partners.

Your Skills
  • Proven ISO 27001 expertise: Hands-on experience in setting up, managing, and improving ISMS frameworks; leading audits or acting as internal/external auditor.

  • Information security knowledge: Strong understanding of risk management, data protection (GDPR), access control, and secure software development practices.

  • Project management mindset: Structured, proactive, and outcome-oriented. Able to plan, execute, and communicate progress clearly across teams.

  • Technical fluency: Comfortable working with cloud environments (ideally AWS), identity management, and common security tooling.

  • Communication and influence: Skilled at translating security requirements into actionable steps for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Language skills: Fluent English required; German is a plus.

Our Offer
  • Impact: Join a collaborative, growing start-up environment in a role that has a significant impact on all levels of our organization.
  • Shape your role: Actively shape this role and its scope with us, depending on your expertise and preferences.
  • Work-life-balance: Trust-based, flexible working hours, 30-day vacation entitlement.
  • Carnival: We love carnival. That's why we're giving you Rose Monday as an extra day of holiday. ALAAF!
  • Compensation: Performance-based compensation plan.
  • Remote or office based: It’s your choice – either work from our lovely office in Aachen, choose a co-working space wherever you live or work from home (somewhere in Europe).
  • Company events: Two 5-day company onsites per year
  • Never stop learning: Personal development plan and budget that you can actively shape.
  • A job that shapes the future and turns our planet greener one battery at a time.
